Founder of BetaBoom
Kimmy is founder of Beta Boom, a pre-seed fund for software startups in the Salt Lake City area and other top rising tech hubs. She also currently serves as a Fellow with Green D Ventures, a venture capital firm for Dartmouth alumni. She has a BA in Computer Science from Dartmouth College and MBA from MIT.
Lara is a professional driver and owner of Rearden Racing. She was the first woman to win a pro race at Daytona in 2013, and is also one of the few woman team owners.

Brittany Jepsen is the founder and creative director of The House That Lars Built, a design and lifestyle website focused on artful living. Through whimsical crafts and design projects, it aims to inspire it's readers to live their best creative lives.
I am a graphic designer for a small studio called Public which is out of SF. It was my first real job out of college and I've been there now for 18 years. I love designing and I also love the craft. I work remotely from Provo where I now live with my family.
Dr. Claudine Bigelow is the Professor of Viola at Brigham Young University. She is also a member of the Deseret String Quartet. One of the fun things she loves about her work is she has had the opportunity to perform all over the world.
Dr. Sheffield is a Medical Director over preventive care services for Intermountain Healthcare. She works to keep the population cared for by Intermountain physicians, hospitals and health plans to live the healthiest lives possible.
Joella Bagshaw has been a librarian for just over 16 years. She has worked in libraries in Utah, Illinois, and Washington State as well as with national library committees.
Silvana Effio, born and raised in Lima, Peru, has been delivering the news into Utah’s Hispanic homes for the last eight years. She is the lead news anchor and news director for the live broadcast at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. in Telemundo Utah.

I am an astronomer and professor in the Dept. of Physics at Utah Valley University. I study giant storms and weather in the atmospheres of brown dwarfs - celestial objects that are somewhere between stars and planets.

I grew up in Oregon and always wanted to be an anthropologist, or travel the world as a photographer for National Geographic. Instead, I got married, pursued a degree in Computer Science, had four boys, and now travel the world as Director of Live Operations for a virtual reality startup.

On a daily basis I am partnering with large retail brands to strategize how we can enhance the shopping experience for their consumer and broaden the reach of the retail partner. I spend a great deal of time creating proposals, pitching to our prospects and reviewing P&Ls (Profit and Loss performas).

I am the State Data Center Coordinator at the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute. This role gives me the opportunity to help people learn about the products and programs at the Census Bureau, while also building my knowledge about the demographics of Utah. I analyze data, write about it, make presentations about it, and teach people how to find it.
